Well when I think of distance for the type 95, I'm thinking like 3/4 across the map like in mission map, if your laying down in the field on the one side of the map were you spawn, and someone is going up that slopped hill you can kill them no problem, so how far are you talking? Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Go play a private match with a friend and test the type 95 out. It kill about 80% higher in 1 trigger pull than any other assault rifle while holding down the trigger, also it kills faster than the mk-14. You can put 1 bullet into someone at point blank with the mk-14 and they never die, when you test the type 95 it will kill every time with 1 trigger pull. The weapon is annoying, especially when campers use it.

-edit: oh and add rapid fire on it and it almost becomes fully automatic.

I don't know, I have actually kicked a** with the MK-14, I think that there basically the same you just have to have a quicker trigger hand with the MK-14.

Well that is kind of my point, the MK-14 is single shot and according to the game has a lot higher dmg than the Type 95. However, I can kill short to medium range faster with the Type 95 because its 3 shot burst and with rapid fire it is pretty insane. Once I get past medium range then I will basically always win with the MK-14 but that is just because it has sniper like range. The Mk-14 is the main weapon I use but it can get annoying when I shoot someone first and then they kill me in 1 trigger pull with the Type 95.

To me, the Type 95 and MK-14 are the best assualt rifles in MW3. I have a quick trigger finger so the MK-14 is right for me, but don't get me wrong the Type 95, I can rule with that gun to.

In my opinion I certainly agree, that gun is unlocked way too early in the level set to be killing people like that.

Just like the M16 in CoD4 today, the Type95 will be and always be overpowered. Eventually people will get tired of using like they did with CoD4's M16
