MW3 August Elite DLC Maps Revealed

The August Elite DLC for Modern Warfare 3 is going to include several new multiplayer maps called Decommission, Offshore and Vertigo.  These maps will only be available to Elite subscribers.  The first map, Elite Drop 16: Decommission, takes place at sea in a graveyard of decommissioned ocean liners which has not been sunk to the bottom and has been converted into a small town.

Elite Drop 17: Offshore is another sea-based map that offers a lot of exciting opportunities to explore complex details and find fun platforms for sniping.  This one takes place on an isolated oil rig in the middle of the ocean.  This oil rig map has a ton of fun sniping spots including cranes and helipads where you can climb and shoot down on your enemies.  Elite Drop 18: Vertigo is set at the Oasis hotel in Dubai.  In this mission players must dispatch helicopters which come at the hotel in waves using laser-guided RPGs.  This is another map where you can take advantage of perching in high places to get a great view of your surroundings.  After you take advantage of the high ground to dispatch your enemies, you need to parachute to ground level to exit the mission successfully.

Playable Helicopter in MW3 DLC

It seems that some of the exciting new features of Black Ops 2 are making an impact on Modern Warfare 3’s developers.  Just as we saw dogfighting in the skies prominently showed off in the Black Ops 2 trailer, it seems we can now look forward to fighting in the skies in Modern Warfare 3 as well.  The August DLC for MW3 will introduce three new items of content.  One of them is top secret at this point and we know nothing about it, but the other two are called Light Em Up and Special Delivery.

Light Em Up lets you operate a helicopter called “Little Bird.”  This is the first time players will be able to operate a vehicle fully in Modern Warfare 3.  Light Em Up will take place after the main campaign, and will pit the player against an Eastern European stronghold.  With the helicopter you’ll be able to blind your enemies using a searchlight, or you’ll be able to launch grenades or fire down on the enemy with an assault rifle.  Special Delivery, like Light Em Up, is a rescue mission, this time taking place at a Chinese hydroelectric dam.  In this co-op mission, one player searches for a hostage while the other uses the Osprey Gunner killstreak to provide air support and drop care packages containing useful supplies.

The third piece of content is still unknown, but it is bound to be exciting if they’ve been so hushed up about it—so we’ll let you know if we find anything out between now and the release of the DLC, which is due out in several weeks for Elite membership players on Xbox 360.  If you’re on a PlayStation 3 or a PC, you’ll need to wait a little longer as usual.

Will Black Ops II be the Best COD Game Ever?

For months we’ve suspected, but only recently has the truth been confirmed: Black Ops II is coming! We still have a while left to wait—the game isn’t due out until November 13th, but we at least know for certain now that it’s going to be the sequel to Black Ops. Since it was Treyarch’s turn, we were pretty sure they’d produce a follow up to the highly successful Black Ops game, and now we’re being gratified with exactly that.

Black Ops definitely was one of the most popular entries to the Call of Duty franchise, and one could argue it was the most innovative game in the series. We loved the colorful maps, the game’s sense of humor, the excellent multiplayer capabilities, and of course, the zombies. The trip to the moon was pretty awesome too! Since one could argue that Black Ops was the best COD game yet, we think that the sequel could well blow it out of the water!

There have been a lot of rumors concerning the game, but not a lot of actual solid information. In two days, though, on May 1st, we’re going to be able to find out the answers to some of our questions. On that day, viewers who tune into the basketball playoffs on TNT will have a chance to watch the official Black Ops II Reveal. This is the first real announcement of the game. We hope to see some of the features, campaigns and new maps previewed in the Reveal, and maybe even be able to guess at the setting for the game. If Black Ops II is anything like its predecessor, then we know it’ll be great. Considering how much technology has evolved since then, we think it can only be better! This is Treyarch’s chance to really shine!

Gear Up For Call of Duty: Black Ops II

It’s tough to step away from the gaming console, but in two days, on May 1st, you’re going to want to turn on your television set. Tune into TNT during the basketball playoffs, and get ready to see the official Call of Duty: Black Ops II Reveal! We’re just two days away from being able to confirm and deny some of the many rumors about the next Black Ops game from Treyarch and Activision!

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is not just a highly anticipated game because it’s this year’s COD title—it’s also highly anticipated because it’s the follow up to what many gamers consider to have been the best COD title ever—the original Black Ops game. The first Black Ops game was previously the only game developed by Treyarch which was created across a two year time period. Black Ops II is the second one to be given this nice, long development cycle. Treyarch games are no longer just fillers during Infinity Ward’s extra development seasons—they are something to look forward to with anticipation.

There were a lot of reasons Black Ops was such a popular title. The game’s single-player campaign was compelling and the multiplayer modes shined. And, of course, Black Ops had zombies—and a mission on the moon! While the zombies and the moon weren’t included with any particular seriousness, ironically they showed us what Treyarch was really capable of and helped the development company to overcome that whole B-team reputation. Will we be seeing the zombies return to the next game? What new multiplayer modes and perks are going to take our combat to a new level? Will the game take place after the original Black Ops game or further into our own future? We won’t learn answers to all of these questions until November 13th, but a few answers are sure to come during the reveal on May 1st!

The anticipation is finally over. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has officially been confirmed by Activision.

Bloons Tower Defense 5

Looking for some cool games to play? It can be challenging to stay entertained while we wait for Grand Theft Auto 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Halo 4 and other big game releases that we expect to see later this year or early next year. In the meantime, though, there are plenty of fun and exciting games you can play online, including Bloons Tower Defense 5. Bloons Tower Defense 5 is the newest game in the Bloons Tower Defense series. The game is free to play and more enjoyable than ever before.

What kind of action awaits you in Bloons Tower Defense 5? In the newest game in the series you’ll encounter the Bloonsday Device. Using the Bloonsday Device’s Activated Ability (which is reusable), you’ll be able to destroy bloons from orbit. With the Bloonsday Device, you use your cursor to designate where you want the orbital strike to fall. This isn’t the only fun new feature in Bloons Tower Defense 5 either. Not only do you get to play using all of the same fun towers you remember from the fourth installment in the series, but you’ll also get to use 8 upgrades instead of just 4 for all of them. You’ll be introduced to two brand new towers which you’ve never seen in previous games. Your enemies have also received upgrades in the new game—brand new bloon types you’ve never seen before will add to the challenge. New tracks which include tunnels and moving segments make the game even more thrilling.

Interactivity and freshness are essential features of Bloons Tower Defense 5. The game is constantly updated with upgrades and new daily challenges. Every day you can play a unique challenge you’ve never played before. Your accomplishments are all tracked and logged so that you can compare your progress with that of your friends online. You can check your stats, ranks and achievements at anytime. Being able to track your progress adds a competitive edge to the game which makes it more addicting than ever.

Bloons Tower Defense 5 may not be the most sophisticated or advanced game in existence—being a free game online after all—but it certainly delivers a lot of fun at no price at all, and what better value can you ask for than that? It’ll help keep you entertained while you wait for the newest installments of all the biggest games.

Black Ops 2 Due Out in November?

When will the next Call of Duty game come out? This is just one of many questions circulating the web concerning this year’s installment in the franchise—a game we’re pretty sure will be called Black Ops 2. This year it’s Treyarch’s turn to develop the next game, and since their last game was Call of Duty: Black Ops (and it was a big hit), this seems to be the most likely course of action.

We’re also increasingly sure that Black Ops 2 will be released in November. There are a number of reasons for this. The first is that the game has to come out this year. There is a new Call of Duty game every year, so the game has to come out by the year’s end. Usually the games have been released in October or November in previous years. This makes sense since this is the holiday season and therefore the biggest season to sell games.

Recently we’ve seen a couple of other indications that Black Ops 2 is coming in November. One was a screenshot of an Amazon.com listing for the game which stated that the game was due out in November. Activision apparently threw a fit at the blog which ran the story, but it was followed up quickly by another post from GameSpot which displayed a screenshot of the Spanish retail site FNAC. FNAC also listed the game for a November release. So there you have it. If you’re waiting for the best juegos para PC, then wait until November descargar call of duty 4 modern warfare. Until then, enjoy Modern Warfare 3, the previous installment which was released just last year. MW3 has received great reviews; new downloadable content comes out every month so that the game stays fresh as we wait for Black Ops 2.

Why You Should Play Shooting Games

Crack your knuckles, breathe slowly, aim and fire when ready, Shooting Games exist to test your skill as a marksman in the most chaotic real and imagined battles of modern warfare. Gunpowder hit Europe during the Medieval Ages, and like many discoveries of human history it did not take long to develop it into a destructive weapon. And what a weapon. Firearms slowly made edged weapons obsolete and are the sidearm of choice of today’s knights and warriors. Just as competence with a sword or spear made you a formidable opponent 700 + years ago, a keen eye and the ability to hold steady as you shoot is the mark of the ultimate combatant on the battlefields of this new age.

Shooting Games come in a remarkable variety. Those doubters who think these are mindless games of button punching and slaughter haven’t spent enough time glued to their consoles with the right games playing. These are games of pure skill and composure. Sure, you may not be on an actual battlefield with bullets whizzing past your head like lethal angry wasps (so just because you killed two Nazi’s with one shot one time doesn’t put you in the same ballpark as real Army snipers…sorry to kill your buzz) but even with a digital simulacrum doing your dirty work stress levels can rise as dozens of enemies have your demise on their minds, and nothing else. There are two factors that make you a decent gamer in the Shooting Games world and the ability to fire the weapon is only one of them, the other is the ability to keep a cool head under fire; these games aren’t just about shooting, but also being shot at, it’s a whole different feeling then.

There are the strategy games of the high minded who want to play general, but these games are for the grunts, for those that know who really carry the burden of combat and win wars: the guy with the gun. Join the online battle arena and see how your skills match up with the hardened gamer veterans.
